Feasibility Study Report on Krabi Comminity Ecosystem and Sustainable Socioeconomic Development is released!

Between the 8th and 12th of June, 2026, Yunzhu, Ning from Give to Nature and Supa from HowBottle visited multiple communities, community enterprises, government departments, community-based tourism organizations, hotel networks, and sustainability promoters in Krabi, Thailand. These visits aim to asess whether Krabi possesses the necessary conditions to develop community brands, and to explore how it can combine community economic development with ecological conservation to achieve more long-term community benefits and environmental value.

And here is our core conclusion: Krabi does not lack community projects, products, or training. Over the past years, many stakeholders have invested a lot to support the sustainable development of Krabi. What is truly missing is an operational system that can sustainably connect communities, markets, and ecological conservation outcomes.

Based on the study, we recommend that the community’s needs must be understood as a Market System rather than just a visual identity system. A 24-month pilot action plan has also been created with three major pillars to guide the process. For more detailed information, please read the full report.
