On September 28th and 29th, 2025, the Promoting Climate Change Resilience in Coastal Communities with Sustainable Financing Workshop was held in Manila, Philippines. This workshop brought together regional stakeholders from civil society, communities, the private sector, and international development partners to explore practical strategies for enhancing climate adaptation through sustainable financing. The workshop facilitated knowledge exchange on emerging financial instruments—such as community-based ecological products, eco-tourism, and blue carbon markets—and how they can be tailored to meet the unique needs of Southeast Asia’s coastal populations.
By fostering regional collaboration and showcasing case studies, the workshop aims to build a shared understanding of how financing mechanisms can be leveraged to drive inclusive, community-based, and environmentally sound climate resilience efforts across the region.
