Give to Nature, together with Malaysia Nature Society and Global Environmental Institute hosted a two-day Community and CSO Storytelling Capacity Building Workshop on March 3–4, 2026 in Kuala Selangor Nature Park, empowering 30 cross-cultural participants (nine countries) with key skills to amplify environmental and coastal conservation voices.
The hands-on workshop featured five core sessions: impactful public speaking, story mining for relatable climate and conservation narratives, visual storytelling (including photography fundamentals and a practical photo mission), social media storytelling to reach global audiences and product branding and packaging. Attendees learned to craft authentic, community-led stories—centering local voices, Asian values, and ecological science—with tools to build audience connection, avoid jargon, and drive action.
Prioritizing cross-cultural collaboration and community agency, the workshop equipped participants with a practical toolkit of storytelling, visual creation and digital skills. The goal: turn local conservation experiences into impactful global advocacy for sustainable development and planetary protection.
